Guys, my tenure at Texas A&M is almost up. I will be done by the end of the semester with my Master's. I've had some interviews and sent out applications, but in an attempt to cover all my bases, I thought I would ask here.
Resume is available on request, but here are some vitals:
Mechanical Engineer
BSME: GaTech, May 2007 (GPA:~2.9)
MSME: Texas A&M, May 2010 (GPA: ~3.2-3.5 depending on this semester's grades)
Previous experience: Power line design, surveying, standards creation. I worked for a small engineering firm in Atlanta for about 1.5 years full time (~3 years, including internship time) while I saved up for grad school.
Completed projects:
Thesis: Evaluating Thermal Property Enhancement of Nanoparticle-Doped Carbonate Molten Salts for use in Concentrating Solar Power Plant Thermal Storage Systems
Teaching/Waldo Robotic Control Unit: built from scratch, interfaced a modern XP machine with a VALII/VAX terminal control unit for robotic control and custom communication protocol
Beltless CVT (Continuously Variable Transmission): designed a drop-in replacement for a Honda CBR600 transmission for use in the GaTech Formula SAE car.
Hand-Controlled Plane: designed and tested a novel plane control system based on how the user moves their hand through an air current.
