@Ezz : That's an interesting path inside the unibody chassis construction.. it makes me wonder.. does a complete E3 interior fully block or significantly reduce the airflow you've discovered? I pose that question because your E3 interior is in the process of being rebuilt. I have no reason to believe this chassis pathway was intentionally designed for galvinization / rustproof dipping processes (which did not become common on vehicles until the mid / late 70s).
Assuming you covered the exterior c-pillar vent areas (where the horizontal inset mounts), this airflow path must extend deeper into the chassis somewhere near the rear wheels.. because the path appears blocked in your photo of the exterior c-pillar vent.
Perhaps @HB Chris can shed some light on this... ?
I know about the rear vents. I was just curious about the c pillar vents if they really were venting or not. It seems that they are not especially when headliner and insulation is in place.
Ok, so I just blew air through mine and yes, the very top of the vents connect to the upper inside of the car..in pics. *Edit: with headliner in place, it would be a smaller amount, being the opening is behind the headliner (not covered by foam), but I imagine still useful for things like defrost, etc..
