Happy new year everyone, had some parts plated, somehow I can’t recall the placement of this bracket, the hole measures 10MM.Any ideas?

Lives in the engine bay. Bolts to the block and the large hole has wiring pass through it. There are a couple of them.
Do you have the W&N exploded diagrams handy?

Thanks for the quick response, its not the one for the dip stick tube, I was able to I.D that one, it has a smaller hole. This one goes on the block for sure, does not show up on the WN book or the blue shop manuals.

Think the other one is up on the back of the head near the firewall.
I'm not near my car so can't check right now.

Yes the back of the head or the back of the block, it probably holds the starter high tension wire? Thanks again

Csi has one at firewall for engine harness.
3 different styles- here’s another version

I think i had that one mounted on the side wall of getrag 265/6 gearbox (outside one of 4x bolts that getrag is mounted to bellhousing).
So i guess it might be support mount for speedo cable or reverse switch cable.

Is your car an automatic? The tranmission coolant hose is attached to the block by something that I belive, looks like this. The prongs wrap around a plastic block. This holds the hose as it runs to the radiator.

My car is a 4 speed. I will put the car on a lift tomorrow and look at the bell housing, it probably holds the speedo cable or reverse lights. Next time I’ll photograph before disassembly.

The closest match I found was on a tii, bolted to the Kugelfischer pump for battery cable. Not the same twist, but serves the same purpose.
