Carb adjuster screwdriver

I splurged and bought a used Blue Point carb adjuster screwdriver. It is a flexible 1/4 extension in a tube with a twist knob on one end and a 1/4” square drive on the other end. You add a 1/4 square to hex adapter ($4) so you can use any hex bit.

This makes getting to the various Weber DG screws trivial. Not needed for DCOE’s. Unsure if it’s helpful with Zeniths.

Highly recommended if you need to play around with Weber downdrafts. I paid $20 for it.

I used to use one like that but didn’t like having to hold the bend shape all the time. Now that I’ve used it, I much prefer the rigid tube on the Blue Point tool.

I made something like that one day after getting frustrated trying to adjust that tiny little screw for the fast idle speed I took an old thinner screwdriver, cut the end off of it, put an old spring ( tightly wound one ) jammed onto the screw driver and the end I cut off, into the other end of the spring. Now, I could do the adjustment much easier because I could flex the " screwdriver " easier to get around linkages and such The spring was about 2-3 inches long

Joe Phillips invented the metric screwdriver. He offered me one to work on the coupe,but I declined since it didn't have a red handle....
