Ceylon CSi on BaT

Any reply from BMW?
@HB Chris - yes and good news generally and last but not least for the new owner ;)
with probably a minor error on behalf of the seller who in fact the 'new car delivering dealer' waso_O.
""Der BMW 3.0 CSi FIN 2261996 wurde am 23.03.1972 produziert und am 04.04.1972 an den
BMW Importeur MOTAG in Zürich-Dielsdorf ausgeliefert. Die Originalfarbe war Ceylon metallic, Farbcode 008.""

There are however, some ,strange' facts - which hopefully will find a reasonable explanation/clarification.
Picture 256/278 in the auction presentation shows the copy of a german registration document,
evidencing the car (VIN 2261996) being registered to a named person, registration no: M-PP 170 (Munich)
dated Aug. 8th 2011.
At the same time the car (VIN 2261996) was imported to Sweden as removal goods on Sept. 6th 1979 (!)
and has been registered in Sweden ever since and still is (which does not necessarily mean the car is
still in Sweden). However, the following dates incl. authority technical check controls are on record.
Registered on Sept. 6th 1979
Change of ownership on April 1st 1980
Set into traffic with insurance on Nov. 5th 2008
Technical check control on Oct. 4th 2012 -
Technical check control on Sept. 18th 2014 -
Technical check control on April 4th 2019 -failed- new control June 4th 2019
and finally Technical check control on Aug. 18th 2021 - odometer reading 21.734 km
The registered owner is on record with name and address. I have tried to make
contact but so far no success.

sold for 147k in 2023, lets see if it gets anywhere near that next week. it was redone by BMW Classic 2022 / 2023. seems to be a nice looking coupe at quick glance ... lots of trim issues that should be restored for a car that has sold in the range of 150k.

Most recently owned by Paul Zukerman of Spike’s Car Radio podcast fame. (he was the BaT winner in 2023) He recently purchased an e9 CSL so that’s probably whys he’s letting this one go. He’s a big Porsche guy but has quite a collection that includes euro spec e34 m5 and and a low mileage e39 m5

This is very petty, but it drives me carzy when wheel balance weight on the outside.
