Clutch Master

I give up, literally! I am so frustrated that the clutch pipe won’t fit into the new grommet on the clutch master. I filled down the flared end, I bought a plastic nipple as used in the brake master as Don suggested, neither one works as they still look to be twice the diameter. The rebuild kit was $40 or 50 from BMW and had to come from Germany and took two weeks.

did you try installing the pipe into the grommet then both into the cylinder as a unit? I also think there are 2 different sized grommets out there.

The grommet was too small, like it is the wrong part in the kit. The new grommet is twice the ID and same OD.

Frustrating. I rebuilt mine in 2011 and another on an e3 five years ago. Both times I used the FTE rebuild kit with no issues. Used the metal pipe from the reservoir both time.
At only $9.00 it may be worth a try.
