This car is up for auction on Monday and I just looked over the photos really well. This is a nice car! If you look past the dirt and dust it's really straight, no signs of rust, very clean and original inside and I think the paint might still be good. This is a sleeper...

Hail damage or not, this one is the perfect car for me. For the right price (low 3 digits) I am all over this car. I assume "certificate of title" means clear title / not salvage.?.

Not a BMW, but if no one notices the engine in this 944, it could be a steal. Lindsey is a local OKC company that makes 924/944s into they cars they should have been. Who knows what this makes, but I saw one of their street cars that reportedly made 500 hp.

Following on the rest of the story, just remembered I was west of Pike's Peak last year about this time, and a freak storm had come through with massive hail. Amazing hail damage on cars like I'd never seen in TX or OK. Sounds like he couldn't get the car totaled from the wreck, so I'm guessing nature finished the job for him.

Ha, I'd never have seen that! Racer friend trying to tell me how cheap it can be to race said I should start with one of these because they're a dime a dozen. Might make sense to take all of the good here and put it on another one. But I'm about as close to racing right now as I am to buying a McLaren.

Thanks Dan.....wow, so much for Copart steals. I know you buy a lot; sight unseen there. Looks like the market is more for people willing to part expensive cars such as Porsche's etc. Is that kind of your take being that you buy there a lot? Or quick flippers but so much hidden stuff I would think that is a huge risk.
