You're quite the trendsetter, PJ. :D From what I found, the Weds company is still around and makes wheels for the import tuner market. They sell 'em at the Tire Rack, but nothing close to the old school style on your car. From what I understand, this model was sold in the late 70s/early 80s and was popular on E24s. That's what mine were off of. They seem pretty rare. I've only seen two other sets, one being the set I stumbled upon two weeks ago. Both were on my local Craigslist.

I wish I could take the credit, but alas it all goes to Rick Nelson the old owner of Bavarian Motor werks? in Canoga Park, So Cal. Met Mark the new owner at last years Concorso , he helped Rick build the coupe in the 90's , so if you need some work done don't hesitate to call them .I think Paul Cain is one of their customers too.

weds wheel

Are all 4 wheels 16x8?

If the fronts are also 16x8, do they rub the front fenders?

Thanks.

....and another set of Weds wheels.

I have set of Weds also, they are a 2-pc design, 15" x 7.5"s all around. Mine have a Weds center cap. They were gold like PJs, now 'fading to black' to match my coupe's new 'sweat suit'.....the new color should make 'em go faster!

Maybe a section in the gallery for 'E9 wheel options' is in order.....

Today i became some informations about the "Weds", from a real "specialist"! :D

The socalled "Weds" were manufactured by Hardy & Beck in the 70ties or 80ies.
But the invention or design was not done by Hardy & Beck, they only made a imitation of these 15" three part racing rims from Alpina :

You see, there´s no difference in comparison with the "Weds"

Herewith i want to thank the nameless sponsor of this information......merci !

For completeness, this is the other "style" of Alpina three part racing rims in 13" , were also made in 14" :
