CoupeFest -Corral August 14th Monterey CA BMW CCA Concours

Nice pictures Alvin. Your friend has a great eye for composition. Your turbo looked awesome.

Really lovely day in Carmel. Lot's of nice folks and some spectacular cars. Good to get to meet a some people on this board and their friends. Donnie in particular had me cracking up pretty much from the moment I started talking to him....

Looking forward to next year. Link to some additional shots of the day.

...and the results are in!

Ok race fans, here's how it all 'rolled down' on the grass last week...

Rules: doors closed, windows all the way up from completely down start, then back down completely to finish, owner's choice of either door window, engine on optional. Owners were asked to operate windows as if they were at a VERY rainy toll booth....;-)

24.1 Chris 1973 P
18.7 Dennis 1974 P

15.9 Murray 1970 M

We have a tie for fastest between the flying guiotine of glass of Ping's lovely black 1973 and my 1970's roll-ups. Good to know that it is possible to have power windows as quick as the manuals...

...you'll have to ask Ping what his secret is yourself....
