an advice: use new bolts, rated 12.9 if possible, at least 10.9
Is that 75-80 N*m value listed somewhere specific to this part ? I only ask because that is a very high value, almost as high as the wheel nuts.
I was able to apply about 75 N*m to my CV bolts before they snapped. It's true that I don't know how old those bolts were or what they have been through, but 75 N*m just seems really high.
Just finished. To echo what others have written, this is an absolute mess of a job. Much dirtier than the front wheel bearings. I hope to never do this again.
