Two Bavarias for sale in Placentia, California

The family of Pat Braden, avid car guy, author and Alfa Romeo expert, will be holding a sale of Pat’s remaining items in Placentia (Orange County), California on Saturday, August 23rd. Among the items for sale will be:
  • Three vintage German vehicles: two '73 BMW Bavarias, one '70 Mercedes 240D
  • One '73 Alfa Berlina
  • One '03 Hyundai Santa Fe
  • Eight Alfa engines (1300s, 1600s, 1750s and 2000s)
  • Various Alfa transmissions and transaxles, starters, alternators, generators, parts and tools.
  • A large selection of 200+ books, manuals, periodicals, framed art, and posters includes BMW, Fiat, Mercedes-Benz and other marque materials, and an amazing variety of coffee table publications.

I wasn't planning on going, no. It's my wife's birthday, we are leaving for a long trip the following day, the dog ate my checkbook, etc. etc.

But yes, buying from widows is a way of finding great deals. The guy who accumulated this collection was a bit of a hoarder, so the family needs to move it out in order to sell the house.
