E9 Front and rear coil springs

Since I'm awake in the early morning hours it's mid-day for Paul in the UK so we have been exchanging information. He is fine with me sharing this price list here, although he appropriately commented that this price list can change over time, especially the shipping amounts

Front Springs £140.00 each
Rear Springs £140.00 each
Discount for purchasing 4 springs - £60.00 (therefore 4 springs = £500)

Carriage (for 4 springs):
to USA £150.00
to Canada £150.00
Tariff to USA £60.00
Tariff to Canada £0.00

I asked about bundling shipping but his carrier caps out at 30 kg and each set of 4 is 17 kg so can't even get 2 full sets into one shipment. When I had initially emailed he said he didn't want to ship to the US but then suggested that he would consider it, perhaps one of us could be the guinea pig to see how well (or not) it goes.

Dang was just thinking that since we are both in Seattle that could have been a good option. I could be said guinea pig since I don’t need them anytime soon.

Well, if three of us in the Seattle area are going ahead it would be worth it, since he could make 2 packages of 6 instead of 3 packages of 4. I’m in if you are. And of course, we would report back. I think I would need some info from @HB Chris about what spacers exactly he used or best place perhaps to get them, but that seems straighforward

I used the stock e9 front spacer and two 2002 1/2” spacers for 1” in the rear. Actually one was 3D printed. Before that I was dragging the muffler and the front tow hooks on the ground entering driveways.

I messaged Paul and he sent me some info but said he isn't currently shipping to the US due to tariffs, etc. Looks like at least a few of us interested are in the PNW. I have a friend in Vancouver who comes to Seattle weekly for work - I could have a few of these shipped to him and then have him bring them south if @Markos and @Pittraider18 were interested in a group buy. Maybe we then need to have an installation party. I don't have the tools to install these, but glancing over at the 2002 forum, one of the first "here's how I installed them" threads was from a guy in South Seattle who was willing to lend another user his light duty spring compressor tool...
I've already got my set from Paul a while back awaiting install but thank you for the offer! I'm sure there will be a few locals who may be interested.

I thought you also referenced a 3-dot spacer?

Just cut ‘em.

(call me a shadtree mechanic.)

Look okay? Custom taylor the amount of drop with the spring rubbers

Right amount of drop?
Cavalier attitude? It sits low, and it is a tiny bit firm.. But it looks great. I had some Carl Nelson Springs, but they didn’t lower the car enough for my liking.

I’m down for a group buy.

I don’t think I’ll need the spacers. I’m shedding 400lbs from my 2800CS. It’s all on paper based on the parts I already have and a few (expensive ones) that I need to buy. With that said, I’ll still need to shed 46lbs and haven’t figured out where to get that from. :D

Considered a diet?

@teahead @lip277 @skb @restart or any other PNW folks - anyone interested in being the third to join @Markos and me in purchasing some Paul Baker springs to save a bit on shipping?

Thanks - My car already has Carl Nelson's springs (his original from a while back) so I'm ok with springs. Those were installed when I got the car back in 2008. Seem to be working fine. That and the new wheels (via Don) work very well IMO....

Cheers....
