Engine bay color

I think a black bay could look good if done professionally. The problem is that we rarely see that.

Like it or not, GS painted their bays black (along with many other parts):

Agreed but the GS car wasn’t a race car, not the one pictured anyway. Personally I’m not a fan of black bays on an e9.
