okay guys i have a couple of questions - all in the same area - inner fender, drivers side. a picture for background

1st - what wiring goes into the 'hook' near the coolant reservoir mount? - okay i realized the clutch master hose goes here.
2nd - the next is what goes into the 2 holes below the brake fluid reservoir? the small hole looks like it would be for a ground since the other side has the undercoating removed.

i know the big holes are for the brake lines to go to the caliper and i know i have a little bit of taping on the harness to pull it into the grommet thru the firewall.

My recollection is that the holes below the reservoir are for the tabs on the wire support clips. The wiring harness fits in some tabs that clamp the wire harness. they have a small protrusion on the back that clips onto holes in the inner fender. Picture below from my assembly (crazy angle because too many paint fumes I guess).

If you are refering to the slightly oblonged vertical hole and the round hole below it, on my car, that is where the brake booster support bracket goes to that holds up the coolant reservoir. The other two oval holes are the brake lines to the caliper

that makes sense ... i have a couple of the big clamps so i will put those in those locations.

i haven't got that far yet ... but that could make sense.

Well, I can't answer your question, but I did want to point out that all the cool kids these days are using a small 2.5 Lb sledge to add ripples to those inner fenders. Something about breaking loose the boundary layer at high speed, if I recall correctly... Those ripples appear to be missing on your car...

nope, not gonna happen. i couldn't help but notice the reflection of the new brake lines and the shiny speedo cable on the inner fender ... i wish they had cut / buffed it so the reflection would have been sharper ... not really.

The tab for my clutch pipe points down! Large hole is booster support and small hole is clip for wire harness.

interesting Chris ... might be another difference between a 2800cs and a 3.0cs ... so to others, which way does your tab point (and don't make a trip to the gutter on this one).

Hmmm. I have one hose bracket with its opening at the bottom holding the fuel line feeding to the fuel filter and another directly above it with the opening upwards holding some of the wiring heading from battery to firewall
Pictures a bit hard to interpret, sorry / lots of stuff in there

Where did you find the sweet cloth covered fluid hoses?

Took a couple pics of mine (‘73). Bracket attaches to both wholes with a pass through for the wiring harness in the middle. Much like how the top hole is vertically oblong, the bottom hole on the bracket side is horizontally oblong so that it can be moved around in either direction to line it up with that side of the coolant tank. Also, my tab points up on both my 73 and 74.

Off topic but is that a new brake reservoir? Are those available somewhere?

what you will find is that there is a new version of the brake fluid reservoir that has a clear top instead of the original black one. the screen / float is slightly different. here is a NOS one. the one on autohausaz has the wrong cap - no sensor ... so i'm not sure it has the float.
