Scott, what did you end up doing with the seat locking repairs? Both seats on mine are so bad I no longer fold the seats over, I can't get it latch back without a long, skinny screw driver and some real fiddling around. A real problem on a long trip

THE only thing that holds the lock is the cable to the side latch
that you can loosen to make longer
maybe you need a new cable which is easy to make if you cant find one
also this could be a problem

Jeff,

i was mainly trying to get the headrest out of a set of seats so i could take them apart and box them to send to Dan Mooney ... so he could recover them for his fjord CSi. so i never messed with the seat back lock ... sorry.

For rebuilding the front seats, does anyone have a source for these bolts? Anyone know if they are available new, or are they NLA and have to be refinished?

These are called 'lens head screws'.
I've read on here that Generic metric stainless steel ones and polisch them up, will be very, very close to the original plain steel chromed ones.

You're in the US, try Belmetric?
