I was happy getting a retrosound head unit working with the mono center so I could listen to podcasts but the dual planar seems like a fun project after I get my AC working. Of course better sound up front will probably make me want to upgrade the 6x9's a previous owner put in the rear deck a long time ago :)
 
Ditto...Had my 1.6Gs forever. A couple of year's ago rebuilt them and added two REL subs. Game changer. Recently thinking about crossover upgrade.

Love the speakers and I agree those who are old BMW fans get it.
