Since the BMW cables used plastic ends, do you know if these cables with steel mounting brackets need to be shortened to use in a coupe. Someone asked me but I'm not sure. I suggested that they check with this thread: https://e9coupe.com/forum/threads/a-sunroof-question.29036/

the cable lengths matter very little. Its the height. If you have your old plastic ones check the height against your metal ones and adjust accordingly. After that you may want to grind the column support down to bare minimum. This is what works on a 2002 [email protected]
