Strong and heavy....
The far lighter ZF box, with a much nicer feel to it, was used in the Lightweight E-type.
The Getrag is the equivalent of a Kalaschnikov in my view....
Any other alternative gearboxes that could work in the E9 ??

I posted once about doing a clutch replacement in my 2002 (twice due to faulty disc springs on the rebuilt unit i had naively purchased)....the 4 speed is similar to the original IIRC in the CS and it was very uncomfortable doing the swap with that weight on my chest!

Around 85lbs seems about right.

Cheers!
