Is there still a contact with in BMW in order to get the original sales info for my car?
Should work, did with me.I did try this same contact address some time ago but got no response. I haven't followed up yet but as a result of this reminder I will do so.
This address worked for me as well. I received a reply in about a day.I did try this same contact address some time ago but got no response. I haven't followed up yet but as a result of this reminder I will do so.
Also want to point out we're talking about two different things here, right? Writing the archive group and getting an email response from Julia Oberndorfer or the like provides the original color of the car, original delivery location (for example, Hoffmann Motors Corp in New York City), the date of manufacture, and the date of delivery (usually about a week apart). It is an email. Whereas, ordering a COA is requesting (and paying for) a document that states largely the same, but on fancy paper, etc. The COA seems to be more popular with the P car group. I received a response from the archive group via email in two days. But I am sure it could take longer if on holiday.I got a COA for my car from BMW earlier this year. It was not a rapid process (3-4 weeks IIRC), but I did get it in the end. Be aware that you don't get the same level of detail as Porsche supplies on its COAs, which include optional content.
