Getting started on my E28 rear axle swap

Just to be clear you used E28 parking brake cables? Also, I'm not sure what you meant by transferring the stock (E3) lower spring perch and rubber to the E28 shock? My E3 has Boge shocks that have a fixed perch. I will also be using Bilstein shocks with standard E28 springs. Any pics?

I have removed all the old E3 upper rear shock mounting paraphernalia and replaced it with mounts from an E28. The hole pattern is the same as the E3, I just made some rubber bushings to go over the bolts from some old fuel line.

I used the E28 cables as described.

I have one question about this thread. Are the new axle bolts cadmium plated? About to swap them out and going for the undercarriage money shot.

Do you mean the three large bolts that hold the whole assembly in? I just used the old ones.
