Granatrot

Claimed his max bid was going to be $123K and he put his phone down, nephew picked it up and somehow mysteriously bid $124! He lost his $5K fee as soon as he won, what an idiot. BaT won’t let me post, they are reviewing my last reply to Hlblanton which you can’t see yet. BaT has not re-lied to me yet.
you gotta be friggin kidding. WTF

What a crock. I bet his dog ate his homework back in grammar school.
Our dog, as a puppy, actually did eat our daughter's homework. "You can tell your teacher your dog really did eat your homework and then put the evidence on his desk! How cool is that?"

She failed to see the humor in it however. Very serious 6th grader she was.

You would just have to change your device or your ISP if it is important to you and if BaT screens new users that carefully. But I would think it would be embarrassing enough that the culprit would just slink away.
I believe you are committing the now common mistake of believing that because you yourself can and do feel such emotions that others are capable of shame as well. ;)

FYI

I posted about the "shill" comment at the same time that Markos did. Rather insulting to be called unethical at the same time you are dealing with a buyer who reneged on his deal.

The sham ”winner” bidder is still trying to sell the Inka e9 that only reached $61k on BAT. Asking $110k. He posted it on the BMW E9 Facebook group just a few hours ago:

For sale 1974 3.0 CS Inka 5 speed in Atlanta Ga
“Total restoration in 2019 $110,000 notice the Vin number 4320001
First car out of the assembly line I’m moving to Florida I cannot take all three of them I have a Malaga red and Ceylon gold CSI both of them
But I will be taking my Manx style VW Dune buggy”

My theory is that he was trying to drive up the bidding, never intending to buy, confident that his $124k bid would not be the high bid. Hoping that he could increase the value of his own cars. Shill bidding to drive the market?
Time to throw some shade…

Devin is buying the coupe for his bid amount. I just spoke to him and he is truly a nice guy and has two e28s, a 535is and M5 but has always wanted a coupe. Gary Beck gave him my contact info. BaT contacted me this morning with a new ‘follow up’ specialist, just don’t know why it took so long. My comments on BaT are still being reviewed, must be standard operating procedure. Thank you everyone for your help! And Devin attends the Vintage every year so he make take the Granatrot this year.
