Historic Alpina Documentation

As far as Alpina CSLs are concerned, the handful of which were direct deliveries to Alpina, this one that belongs to our long time member and is the most spectacular one I have ever seen. Perfection in every detail.

Miller & Norburn worked on my 2002 back in 1973,just after the 12-month warranty expired. I bought the car in Charlotte and had the only BMW in Hickory, NC. I bought Bilstein shocks and rear springs from them.

The BMWCCA had a tour in 1983 of all of the BMW factories in Germany & Austria along with the famous "Tuners" including Alpina. I bought their jacket and shift knob for my 2002. Here are pics of the jacket. I added the Motorsports patch.

Who won it?
I was outbid but really wanted to see the remaining pages (22 in total). Don’t think these pictures or copies of this exist online.. anyone seen a catalog like this before?

At that time, however, the exchange rate between the British pound and the German mark was about 1:8.

If you then also take inflation into consideration, that was also a lot of money in these days.

I recently bought this copy of Motor Klassik 05/1991 and scanned these pages:

Can anyone tell, is that a tii booster? I have the same carbs on my Alpina motor and I'd quite like to have some velocity stacks like those.

It sure looks like it. Also Solex carbs with the valve cover vented to the air not recirculated.

Anyone know what happened to Schnitzer's "Green Monster". Likely the maddest street legal E9 of the original era. Today's resto mods, etc. just don't count, sorry.
