Doesn't count if there is a car show. Last time I saw one on the road
was 7 years ago...green one.
abe...not too many out there

e9 spotting

Hardly ever in Scotland.

In the 16 years I have owned my Csi, I have seen five in Scotland.

Only seen 2 being driven - one was a metallic green CSa which used to be in the Montrose area. The other was an Italian registered Blue CSi I saw on the Dundee to Aberdeen road.

I saw a silver e9 in a garden in the Mount Florida area of Glasgow - near to Hampden Park, the national soccer stadium. I was on a bus and didnt get the chance to explore further.

One was a restoration in progress by a student called Nick Brown from Stirling area, and the fifth is Malc's dear old bucket!

Very Rare!

I come from a Porsche "SC" back ground. Trying to acquire a CS at the moment. I seen Porsche "SC' everywhere. Haven't seen a CS unless one for sale. Leads me to believe they are under value. Unless it's a "Alpina" Tribute in the"for sale" section! These cars are rare so the value should be more. They are like blonds with real DD "chest". You always see blonds here in cali with fake headlights.

I'm in the Sacramento area and see a coupe about once a year. It's always a shock! :)

in santa Cruz we are blessed , I see one nice Black one parked every day and in the summer I see 3-4 cruising around pretty often

There are few around in So Cal. I usually see at least a couple per year. If I get desperate I can always go look at blumax.

I cheat- a friend has four in the driveway.... that makes 5 when I come by in mine. When my friends come by my house in their 745i turbo's there are usually 3 or 4 of those to look at in my driveway.

Probably about five in my 65 years. I've seen quite a few at car shows, but it is extremely rare for me to spot an e9 on the road. I don't believe I have ever seen another CSL on the road other than mine.

seeing coupes

Maybe 4-6 random sightings a year here in the Sonoma wine country. Just saw a blue one Tuesday on 101N going through San Francisco at 7PM.

Found one for sale less than a half mile away in the classified ads on Craigslist a couple years ago. We had never seen each other before. I guess garage queens rarely meet. :D

A blue one in SF the other day you say?,

I saw an unrestored blue CSI in the SOMA area of SF on Tuesday, wonder if we spied the same one.

I know of an orange and black one that terrorizes the East Bay frequently...

.

Here in Honolulu, I used to think there were maybe ten on the island. Nowadays, I can only think of three I've seen in the last year or so.

Some cars come down from the mainland, stay a couple years, then leave. I think I can remember two or three that have done so.

Let's see, there's me, Kealaiki and Gary Dunn, Gerard has a customer coupe for several years, there's the white 2800 (sorry forgot your name, senior moment) and there's a complete rustbucket that hasn't moved in years at a certain nearby location, the red/white one from downtown that sold a few years ago I assume is still around somewhere, Mark's diamond black one but I dunno if he still has it... that's about it. There have to be a couple lurking about in some condition that I will never see.

There may be a coupe or two on Maui, heck there was an M1 there for a while. Likely none in Kauai or on the Big Island.

That's about it for the Aloha State.

Here in the Washington DC area, maybe once a year. A while back, I tried to come up with a number of E9s in the Washington-Baltimore area based on all the cars I had seen or heard of over the past 10 years or so.

I think I came up with about 35. I can't think of any that are driven often. My 2 E9s and 2000CS have all essentially been off the road for 3 years or more.

coupe on the road

Here in Tidewater, VA, have never encountered one since I've owned mine (1.5 years), and don't ever recall seeing one on the road in the 20 years I have resided here. When I show up at a local car show, I hear it said that so and so "used to have one", but have not seen any.

here in La La land there are plenty of 'em. i see almost one/month.

a better question in L.A. would be: how often do you see a coupe while you're driving your own coupe?

answer: hasn't happened yet.

I travel quite a bit for business, multiple states and a lot of car travel when I get there. I see several cars by appointment ( I purposely hook up with e9 folks for a beer and chat) And I see them on the road all the time. In NH, San Francisco, Orlando, and southern CA.
Saw a white one in Tel Aviv, a pristine fjord blue near San Pedro CA, and a black one in RI

Here in St Helena there is a silver 72, a blue 74 and a silver 73 within a 12 mile radius...we see each other pretty often! There are lots of great cars that come to visit wine country, and I probably see at least one a month up here besides the locals.

coupe sighting

Here in NW New Mexico, never, except for my two, saw pictures of one in Albuquerque at a car show, otherwise, maybe 3-4 in the whole state!
Merry Christmas everyone!

Here in NJ, NEVER!

I've seen maybe 3 in the last 10 years....
Irony came into play the sad day I sold Leela. Driving home after doing the deed, actually three blocks from the scene of the crime, I passed a silver e9 coming the other way! This was in Jersey City, a veritable waste land when it comes to, among many other things, seeing any cars of note.
I was hurting.
