1960 Ferrari 250 Pininfarina Cabriolet

Aren't those like $20M?

I couldn't justify paying that much for a car given after taxes, and lump sum, you may take home $450M

They are around $1.3 -1.8, they are the affordable 250s. They pre-date the 250 California LWB & SWB Spyders which are in the high teens to $20 million

Yeah more likely to get struck by lightning but when it's a billion dollars I buy 1 ticket.

Like most of you, I have a whole list of cars I'd buy if money wasn't a concern. There are no Ferraris on my list.

Two that I would own for sure:

Muria SV
1965 Riviera GS

Oh yeah, I would track down the LeMans Blue 68 Camaro RS convertible that I had during high school and stupidly sold in college. I'd completely restore it but add all the factory options I wished it had when I was 16.

Mach 1 that I had in high school would be nice to have back. There are a few others that I have desired over the years, an early e-type convertible is near the top of that list. I guess I would buy a big warehouse and start filling it up...a nice dream.

My dad bought a new black E-type convertible with red leather seats in 1967. He kept it for a year and said that when he sold it, it needed quite a bit of work including seeing to its slipping clutch. It was beautiful, fast and fun, but the quality was only so so. I remember driving down the interstate with my mom on our way to KC for a dealer service interval and smelling smoke. I looked down and saw smoke coming from the radio. I exclaimed and pointed and she reached down and turned off the radio and continued driving. English cars with various electrical issues were not uncommon in our family as we had quite a few from across the pond.
