In the market for a BMW E9

As easy as writing a check. That job has to be north of $5k these days.

VSR hasn't changed their labor rate in 6 years. They are the best deal for coupe work on the east coast. Mine is currently there for some much needed updating for next season.

Looks good in the pictures, very clean. Rare to see a CSi with a sunroof, most do not. Worth an inquiry. This may be a Hunting Ridge Motors car, buildings look familiar. If serious have an independent inspection done.

Mario at http://www.vsr1.com Knows these cars inside and out, worth a call.

Look for a shop here: http://www.bimrs.org

I added it to the Registry.

Yes, that's right.

Nothing that's done right on these cars will be cheap.
A decent set of bumpers is a couple grand. Add a spoiler and the body modifications and yes it'll be more than $5k. . But If a car has bad bones, $5k is just a drop in the bucket. Better off with a very solid 74+ car plus the bumper conversion than a rusty small bumpered E9.

A '72 CSi with CA/U.S. with the additional side marker lights? How does that work? I didn't think CSi's were imported here in '72?

Correct CSi were never formally imported. May have had the sidemarkers added during Federalization. Depends when the car was imported. I have sent the VIN to BMW for build info.

The car was delivered to the dealer 9 months after it was built?! I must be missing something here.....

Executive car programs allowing the top dogs at car companies to drive new vehicles for a relatively short period before offering them for sale used to be quite common.
