FYI--seat belt docking clip
Correction Dirk--replication of this unique part is not for commercial purposes!!
If it were useful to all E-9 ers I would agree with you but since it applies only to 2800 CS owners that still have original spaghetti belts--this is a completely different undertaking.
It started when I asked if there was interest on the part of a friend in having one for his Coupe--he had not been aware of its existence although a 30 year owner--had never seen one. From that posed question the project was initiated to simply make a couple of them for us two long time owners--mine was broken, restored and again broken as the original material was very prone to failure. The part is helpful to us in taking care of wandering seat belts--NOT as the basis for becoming a parts supplier.
As with any attempt at replication or creation of a long NLA part there are costs incurred in the execution. My thought was to see if there were other owners who would want same and be willing to help defray the cost of producing that small number. Since the part is only applicable to early 2800 CS's I would seriously doubt its merit for ever becoming a profitable commercial undertaking.
Perhaps liken it to the E-9 Driven Badge project--except there will be far fewer ever made.
