Ok, guess I'll get the extra piece then. I do not see it on La Jolla's website. Does someone else make it?

I purchased 2 from La Jolla a few years ago and never got around to installing them. I never knew I needed the second flat piece. Hope I can still get them.

I have read conflicting information so can anyone comment on if the reinforcement is as necessary on an E3?

bearmw , that area of the rear of the e3 is very similar to the e9 as I'm sure you are aware and I can tell you that a 75 3.0 Si I had many years ago also suffered from the same issue.
