For the benefit of oldbmwcoupes, who I do not know, I thought I would clarify something about this thread.

Oldbmwcoupes began this thread by asking about Legends East and a gathering of e9 owners at Legends East. Reading this thread may give the impression that all the coupes will be together at Legends East through some type of informal "meet up and drive in together" process similar to the Vintage. That is not the case.

Chris' statement that all the e9s will be parked together refers to those e9s that have applied and been accepted to Legends East. I determined to post this rather long-winded comment primarily because the list of coupes that fall into the applied and accepted category is not the same as the listing that is being compiled in this thread. Doug McKenzie, by way of example, has indicated that he will be attending but is not showing his car. This means Doug won't be parking with the e9s that are in the show. Similarly, Andrew has his 1600 Cabriolet entered in the Legends East show, so while he is driving Athena down to Hilton Head for O'Fest, he won't be bringing her to Legends East. (There are three events in Hilton Head the first weekend in November: The Hilton Head Concours d'Elegance, O'Fest and Legends East.)

So, if Oldbmwcoupes is looking to see a large concentration of coupes and chat with a bunch of sophisticated, good looking coupe owners, Legends East is the place to be. If, however, he wants to park in and among this large collection of coupes, he will need to apply and have his vehicle accepted into the event (assuming it is not too late to do that). And if he wants to see a specific coupe - perhaps to compare his car to something someone else has done - then he needs to identify which if the three events that the owner may be attending over the course of the weekend and plan to attend that event.

Athena will be attending only the BMW CCA O'Fest Forever Thursday Hagerty Drive & Friday 4 pm Car Show. I'm arriving November 1st & heading home early on the 8th. Mrs. Wilson will be there too.

Coupes being judged must have provable mileage, no guessing, or mileage will be TMU. Also, fully restored coupes where subframes were removed as part of the restoration will have mileage started from zero at time of restoration. Anyone not wishing to be judged is fine, just let the judges know when they arrive prior to judging. It will make their job a lot easier!

Chris Ohmes, thanks for your clarification. Unfortunately, none of my coupes are ready to show. Blanca, my most original, and patinated, car needs some items as just really is more of an old daily driver. I’m looking forward meeting you all in person and seeing / hearing about your beautiful cars.

Is this a test? Oops, I messed up. Doug Dolan vs. Doug McKenzie!
Chris - Doug Dolan is registered to bring his coupe. He applied about the same time I did and last I heard, he was planning to caravan down with Wayne and Stan.

We have only 15 judges so far and need 6 volunteers, we will train you and it is pretty simple, we just need to be consistent in our processes. You wouldn’t be judging coupes and would most likely do Clean category as it is the easiest. Who is game to give it a try?

Our 1968 1600 Cabriolet is in the Judged Preservation Class. I'd like to volunteer yet hesitant as it may be viewed as conflict of interest with having my car judged.
