LRP event on Labor Day

Accomodations

Todd,
How early on Saturday?
Does the campsite have running water and toilets?
Room for 1 more pup-tent?
Need to go to REI and get a single air mattress

Tom:
Can you cook oatmeal in cider over an open fire?

I plan on arriving before 8AM and departing around 5pm.
Would like to park with the BMW guys (even though I won't be driving BMW).
Who, if anyone, organizes the BMW area parking (I assume it's up by the skid-pad again)?

John Feng

John,

The gates open Thursday morning, I won't get to the track until Friday evening. The camp area is first come, first served- so I suspect there will be some last minute text/email/forum coordination on exact location.

A 10'x20' camp site is $15 with your weekend pass. There were plenty of sites left when I made my reservation.

Yes! But somehow I have a feeling this is going to be a steak, mushroom and cheese omelet fried in butter with Bloody Mary's kind of breakfast. +2 aspirin

OK, someone is excited!

I really haven't thought that far ahead yet with regard to what time I'm going to leave on Sat. morning but the earlier the better. We can coordinate a meet when we get close to the weekend. The camping plots are 2 tents to a plot and I think Tom and I are sharing one at this point. They bring in a shower trailer and have the porta potties some of which are air conditioned, which was a first for me last year. Never been in an air conditioned PP before.

See you Sat AM

I'll find you guys Sat AM. Post your camp site location once you get settled in.
I'll make an offering to the weather gods for sun like we had last year.

Update

6 camp sites are reserved.

Current Coupes
- Duane
-Tod
-Stan
- Mario
-Mako
-Tom
-Warp 9 (maybe)
-chuck (?)

All welcome! Caravan leaving the Boston area Friday 10:00am.

Anyone heading out Saturday can caravan with me.
Friday is the wife's birthday so, priotity. :D

I will bring both tents (maybe the coupe will fit in the 6 man tent!)

Reach out

Stan - seems like you are driving solo on Saturday... more than a reach-out you may need a special New Hampshire reach-around....

The Friday crew driving out will include Duane, Mako, Mario, Rob (maybe), Tom, Tod.

Should be a blast from Friday through Sunday.

If you can keep up

Stan,
I've been told that if you get to LRP later than around 8AM you're going to get stuck in traffic (bad for old British cars without upgraded cooling systems).

I was planning on heading out very early Sat so I get a good spot in the corral (good = front row and not boxed in). If you want to meet somewhere like the junction of I-290 and I-90 around 6:30AM we could drive together.

But, you'll have to promise to keep up ;-)

John
