I have a nice manual steering gear box as removed from a 70 2800. The box seems to be low miles and has no "flat spot".

Willing to consider trade for nice 15" or 16" wheels. I have been using 17" style 32 wheels on my 2800CS and want to go back to a better, more comfortable tire.

style 32 wheels

Hi Zac

I have just bought a 2800CS and will be fitting larger wheels. You say that the ride is not comfortable with the 17's. Did you use 17x8's all around or did you use 17x9's on the rear. I have a pair of 8's from a friend and would like to try them. I assume you rolled the fenders to get the tires to fit. As to ride, I am not so concerned about that since it will be only sunny day driven. Any other advice?

17" wheels will beat your car to death- makes for a rotten ride and a constant search to fix more and more rattles.
