New projects, Taiga and Inka

TAIGA - lagging with pics, it got a temporary primer. Currently we are working on the M88, cylinder head has a few small cracks and needs replacement, just need to find one.... The block needs a little work, we need to bore the cylinders but it seems oversize cylinders are not available so we might go for inserts. When M88 is done we will see how it fits before doing anything else, it *should* be a very good fit but it seems that behind the cam cover the bulkhead where the heater goes needs to be pushed in about 10 to 15mm to give some clearance. Many thanks to nosmonkey for that tip.

Sorry.... no updates for a while.

Next step is restoring the M88, and testing it in the bay withe the front suspension. Supposedly it will fit by moving small part of the torpedo wall 1-2 inches. We will see.

Feast your eyes on my brand new cylinder head. Can't be many more of those around?

Some odds and ends for the resto. The Walloth invoice was 3 pages long to cover all the parts. It was roughly 10k with the new cylinder head, M parts cost more, not saying that to brag about what I spend, am just sharing for those interested. And I am pretty sure I would get that money back selling a newly restored and complete M88 so I tell myself it is an investment. Luckily I don't have a wife to try and convince about that.

Lots of parts to clean, but it will be beautiful when done.
