original radio in e9 coupe

Mine came with an 8-track and a piece of junk radio.

I replaced it with a Blaupunkt Berlin. Period, but never installed as far as I know.

I have the same Blaupunkt for my `69 2002. Abe's isn't stereo but a nice radio none the less and same as my coupe's but I have the chrome nose piece. See you next Sunday in San Diego?

Hi Chris,

There is and as you can see from further pictures the mounting plate probably came from bavaria or a later model...I see a ....1979 on the serial number. Nevertheless, it fits nicely in my car, it has matching knobs, and its already installed. Actually, COUPEKING installed a real radio, amp, and speakers...the radio is in the glove box. This radio works and it looks as good as in the picture...looks new. I just have it because it looks more period correct.

I finally found the radio that came out of my coupe. The sticker on the side that has the model and S/N is missing. Any idea what model this is?

The C before the serial number indicates 1970 model Blaupunkt. It went like this: x=66/67, y=67/68, z=68, a/b=69. Your radio looks great, I also have the stereo in the glove box with amp in the trunk.
 
The Frankfurts can have a chrome or black nose to fit from behind or the full width faceplate in either chrome or with the centers painted black.

Prefix "C" indicates 1971/72 blaupunkt radio
