Outside for the first time since 1989

You can drive it late at night. I was waiting for my Fulvia registration but could not help myself. After three weeks I was caught, it was daylight and one block away from the Police station... The officer was very nice and understood that these cars have to be driven or they fall apart.

i have anew brake resorvoir for the automatic if you need it
fantastic work
i just love to see the way you guys assemble the sheet metal
mine was never rusted.
thats one cool piece of metal mover

Would you care to share the formula you ended up with for Bristol? It would be nice to have that listed in case anyone else wants to duplicate your fabulous results.

That's Bristol which is the original color. The Glasurit recipe for Bristol is wrong. It makes a brownish rather than a bluish grey. It took about two months of going back and forth with BASF, sending them pieces from the car for spectral analysis, and mixing up a dozen different recipes to test to get the color right.

Thanks to everyone for your kind words. It looks like Thursday I'll be able to get plates and drive the car. Today was a warm day and I backed the car out into the driveway and spent the afternoon mucking around with vacuum lines and Klippan spaghetti belts. The car seems to have passenger side belts for both front seats. Strange things can happen to a car over 40 something years.

Do I want to let out the secret formula for Bristol? It's kind of nice having one of 2 or 3 known Bristol E9s. :) However, the car wouldn't still exist if it hasn't been for the inspiration and help from all of you, so sharing the recipe seems like a good way to give back to the group. Here it is for 1 quart:
Pos. Base Quart
1 352-91 165.10
2 M25 633.55
3 A929 72.60
4 A974 51.72
5 M201 30.83
6 A143 22.88
7 A589 17.90

Bristol is really amazing Leonard! There is a Bristol e9 in the PNW. The member is on here.

The stamped registration form arrived from the insurance company today, so I went tearing off to the RMV (what they call DMV here in the Commonwealth) and tearing back home with the plates. I put on the plates, backed out and it started raining. I went and drove it around for half an hour anyway. Better to dive in the rain today than in the salt and slush tomorrow. Overall the car worked well. No rattles and very solid feeling. Steering, suspension, and brakes were flawless. So were the wipers. I've put together a list of a few things that are not yet quite right. Idle speed is too low, automatic choke and fast idle don't work, fresh air control lever doesn't move past half way, and a wing mirror doesn't operate properly. That's not too bad a list considering all the work that was done on the car. It sure feels nice to be driving the car again.
