The stamped registration form arrived from the insurance company today, so I went tearing off to the RMV (what they call DMV here in the Commonwealth) and tearing back home with the plates. I put on the plates, backed out and it started raining. I went and drove it around for half an hour anyway. Better to dive in the rain today than in the salt and slush tomorrow. Overall the car worked well. No rattles and very solid feeling. Steering, suspension, and brakes were flawless. So were the wipers. I've put together a list of a few things that are not yet quite right. Idle speed is too low, automatic choke and fast idle don't work, fresh air control lever doesn't move past half way, and a wing mirror doesn't operate properly. That's not too bad a list considering all the work that was done on the car. It sure feels nice to be driving the car again.
