Also, how much of the center splined part of the metal ribbed hub should extend past the cover? That is the part of the hub that connects to the steering column, correct?
And then the plastic cover is then close to the steering column top & bottom covers, correct?

Just under 12mmc about 11.7mm. This is a CS hub (despite the 2002 plunger).

so far there are perhaps 4 csl units needed. anybody else to see if this is something that has legs or not.

After looking at the wheel on my tii, I noticed the rear of the cover is larger in diameter, about 34.5cm vs the CS of 31.5cm. So, is there one special for just e10?

I’m not following your measurements. The hub cover is nowhere near 34.5cm or 34.5mm. The 2002 Petri is 35cm.

The 2002 hub cover is around 98mm inner diameter at the largest point. It is smaller both in length and diameter than the CS hub cover. In fact it will fit inside the CS cover. See below:

Markos, I think I am losing my English
I meant to say circumference and not diameter.
I also thought the larger one was for 2002. It fits rather better with the the top of steering column.
