Unintended consequences: Adjusted the hood latches to dial in the panel fit, now the hood contacts the plastic overflow cap and it’s cracking around the base of the neck. (Spot of white poster paint for confirmation).

As I recall, at least some of the bracket holes are slotted allowing changes to the mounting location, but I'm not sure which way the adjustments go.

I will pull it and look-see. Are currently available reservoirs of good quality or should I look for an uncracked used one? (This was an issue with Fiats).

Two m6 bolts/nuts on firewall, one m8 bolt/nut under the tank to the booster. Should have some play in it. New plastic tanks have the e24 sending unit opening so used is better.

I just bought 2 of the originals now available. The original (‘74 plastic) is at dealer.

Problem solved, thanks @Mot27cars slightly different style and cap, significantly shorter overall. Took the opportunity to swap in the “correct” style hose to the top of the radiator. Only difference I can see is that it no longer says “fuel line”.
