polaris 3.0 csa on BaT - vin 4335133 <5 speed conversion>

Oooooo...winner winner chicken dinner. Just under $50K but went RNM @ $47K. I think they will work out a deal if not I think the seller should have lowered the reserve and sold it, won't get much more out of it I don't think.

Somehow I suspect that if it were my car I would have been trying to get $50k, which perhaps means set a reserve at 45 and hope. But I agree, seems like they should be able to work out a deal.

Ah, David, didn't realize you were the high bidder there. Since this one comes with the auto trans but it's currently not installed, yes that would likely be a few thousand dollars getting it back to automatic that would feel like an unncessary spend over finding an already-auto car. This one does have the nicer upgraded engine though, so perhaps worth seeing if a deal can be struck.
There's an E9 on Ebay being sold by seller beverlyhillscarclub for $39k that's in worse shape than this one but maybe could get for about 75% of that asking price and have headroom to do some restoration.

My computer shuts down whenever I click on BHCC. Scary place is right David.
Ha! I agree, definitely seems like the island of forgotten classic cars - first time I'd seen this site. But maybe it means someone can find a diamond in the rough if they know what they're doing? Buyer beware...

Well even with a few recent disappointments (especially that Malaga), the first half of 2026 is still an improvement over 2025. Median high bid on BaT is 62.8, up from 55 last year. Average is 72.5 up from 59.

to some degree, i think a lot of that is seeing better cars overall. last year there were a couple of worthy coupes, and more that needed some attention.
