Most important benefit - it enhanced my wife's appreciation
for the e9 (every so often she says I should sell it because
I don't drive it enough - whatever that means - I don't answer questions
that I cannot understand).

Nice layout - remarkable job given the time frame. Great Blumax collage.

Happy holidays JH.

Suggestion: Those of us in the Baltimore - DC area ought to get together in the spring and go for a drive and take JH out to lunch!

With about 1 week of sales I am now down to 13 calendars. I think I may need to print some more! I'm starting to get reports of receipt I suspect that most US locations will have them by Saturday if they went out in the first batch of 70. Hopefully you non-US folks will be getting them before January 1!

I've now got an amazing collection of Coupe photos (and people are still sending them my way (please keep sending them!) I feel like I should do something else with all of them but I'm not sure exactly what. Professional printing is pretty expensive But I was pondering a simple CD. I do have access to a bulk CD printer / replicator. Ideas?

I also recently picked up the "BMW Ads" for 1968-1975. It has about 100 decent Jpegs. Some are pretty interesting.

How about posting the whole portfolio in the photo gallery? Easiest for you would be to create a separate file called - misc? car porn? 2007 Calendar?
Culling the herd?

How about posting the whole portfolio in the photo gallery?
I actually started out trying to do this. With the official 149 photos and another 25-30 which have come in since, this is a tedious process. Our gallery requires submission 1 by 1. The other hassle is dealing with image resolution; I think our gallery doesn't care but for web viewing the images need to be smaller. To use Photobucket I had to reduce each image to 1024 max on a side. I also had to change the format of some photos. I have since purchased a Pro account but even this is limited to 2000 something on a side and most photos are 3072 and some are higher!

I have posted the entire calendar, page by page, in one of the threads. All of the official submissions are also posted as a link but not in a thread; I think it will be easiest to use Photobucket and link them into a thread. Perhaps I'll have some time over the holidays to play around with this.

Got my calendars today, they rock. Thanks so much for putting this together, it's nice to see a such a variety of coupes from the forum members. Every one is cool in it's own way.

Stan this time you beat me and got your own page! Congrats.

Just got my two today in perfect condition! Are we taking names for E9er of the year? My vote goes to JHJ.

By the way John Jacobs, are you related to the JingleheimerSmiths? If you are that's a strange coincidence... (ok, sorry, couldn't resist).

Happy Holidays All!

Releated? ...in the flesh! I find my name delights children and travel industry employees around the world! :p

It is far better than being named Sue. In fact, everytime I check into a flight or a hotel and the person at the counter sings my song I ask for an upgrade and they are hard pressed to deny it after their embarrassing display.

What was the subject of this thread??

OH Yes--calendars--my four arrived in US mail this PM--they look great and IMHO are keepers--well beyond 2008

One each is scheduled for the 4 people I have entrusted to drive the BLUMAX--when I'm in the passenger seat of same--my two Sons and only Nephew--just the adult family males

Kudos for your great work JJ

Super!
Arrived today, Saturday 22nd. Thank you very much indeed. Mrs Malc looked through it, though I did try and point out that it wasn't a catalogue!
Certainly helping in the colour choice department :p
When I pointed out the bucket I got told 2 things....

1.. Finish it! You need to get it in the 2009 calendar!
2.. How could you take a picture with the garage being so untidy

Wonderful job JJ

The calendar arrived in perfect condition. It looks terrific and will displace the Grand Teton calendar I purchased in September. Thanks so much for putting it together!

gkb: I like your suggestion.

Hey blumax,

Why only the males?! We girlies like (and can even drive  ) them too!

Mrs Malc
(on Malc's log-in)

PS, I agree with everyone that it's a cracker of a calendar! It's up on the wall in anticipation of the new year already! Yummy cars!

I'm glad the calendars are showing up. So far there are no reports of damage or missing shipments. As of today I have 10 left; but as I have said I will print more if needed. If I have excess I'll figure something out.

The entire process was a bit of work but worth every minute to me. I've noticed that I have a few missing the small hole for hanging; my apologies if you received one of these - I guess I need a QA department! Regardless, I suggest we do the same again next year but that we start a bit earlier.

Hey Mrs Malc--I did let a former spouse drive the BLUMAX

On occasion--but when she ever so slightly "pranged" the front bumper area upon contacting the rear of the "dumb driver" ahead--had to make a painful choice--otherwise she was a very nice mate.

Just kidding--she actually ran off with a 356 Porsche Guy. (;>)
