Reaching out to RHD owners with factory a/c. I have an aftermarket installation, and am having to replace the lines from the engine bay into the cabin. The routing into the cabin seems unconventional, passing up the drain into the gutter where the wipers are, and then vertically down into the cabin on the driver’s side. Excessive amounts of silicon suggest that this setup has leaked in the past. I would have expected the pipes to route directly through the firewall, except the pedals and steering are in the way there. How does your a/c piping route?

My rebuild is almost finished: I have the evaporator and condenser installed and once the car passes its roadworthy (State of Victoria, Australia) I'll get the aircon connected. I have the same routing question as Socrates - how to get the pipes along the chassis rail and through the firewall neatly, avoiding the pedals.
One installation I came across had put the evaporator into the a/c unit reversed so the connections were on the LH side, so no pedals inside or exhaust nearby outside.
