S54 3.0CS wide body on BaT

In my humble opinion, any major modifications to those beautiful body lines carry a high risk—it’s a fine line between good design and kitsch.
Engine, suspension, braking system—sure!
Bodywork modifications—yes, but subtle ones.
And the color of this BMW is just a disaster...
Nardo Grey and its derivatives look good on modern sports car bodies.
But on a car from the 70s... hmm...
nardo grey is basically a 70s color though....

but i agree with you. i usually hate it. I just imagine a ton of carbon fiber bolt ons and alcantara wrapped interior
 
I don't entirely agree with that statement.
Audi created Nardo Grey in 2013.
They drew inspiration from the color of the asphalt on the track at the
Nardò Technical Center in Italy.

Slate grey in 1970 was close enough IMO
