Yes I was able to create an ACE account and file a claim. You'll need to find your import docs and file as the importer. Instructions here:Login Template Title

If you have a US bank account:
You'll need to create one first at https://ace-accounts.cbp.gov/s/importer-form If you're a non-US importer without a US bank account: You need to file CBP Form 4811 designating a licensed customs broker to receive refunds on your behalf. |
Hey Rob.....so did you import the item(s) to be refunded directly? Or did you use UPS/Fedex for the delivery of the item? The import of record number is the actual person (or company) who was the importer. If you imported directly (such as I did with my car). then you can find that number as the import identifier number. If UPS/Fedex is the actual importer, then you will need to petition them for your refund.Hmm...
Seems like they want info that I don't have:
*Importer of Record Number (IR#)
???
i basically got a bill from UPS to pay the tariff fee.
Do I petition UPS to get my money back from them??
