The euro only 3.0S, 3.0Si and 3.3L all had vented front rotors front and rear, all others were solid rotors. Part numbers 34 11 1 108 131 and 34 21 1 108 132.

The calipers for almost all the early big sixes and the ti/tii/turbo are the same with the only variation being if they have spacers or not. Later six cylinder Bimmers used a vented caliper with slightly thicker pads but still bolt up on the early sixes and '02s with the ti/tii/turbo strut. The later calipers are heavier and the halves are held together with bolts that thread into threaded holes. The early calipers used bolts and nuts. See attached comparison pic.the caliper is essentially the same however there is a 1cm steel spacer between the 2 halves of the caliper.
