A while back I heard that Carl Nelson shows potential customers pictures of his yacht, which is huge and very expensive. He does this specifically to let potential customers know that he doesn't need to work with people who don't want to pay him what he is worth.

Well known e9 specialists don't disappear with other people's cars. If they disappear, they are foregoing an income stream that far exceeds the value of any one car.

its not the Houston car - yes it looks similar but the 'stolen' one had wheel arch trims and no side markers. the Houston car had the opposite. completely agree with @Ohmess on his comment about well known e9 specialists.

Something seems fishy....
No VIN
No real info on the car...
No real info on who took it.

Seems like a smear campaign - not a 'stolen' car.... But who knows.
The truth is probably a messy tale of woe.... on multiple fronts....
Agreed seams scammy

Its probably in the Netherlands since there's so many criminals there.
Went once to visit Philips in Eindhoven, I was reluctant to leave the luggage in the car parked on the street, my dutch hosts were laughing at me.

Amsterdam 2019, lots of bikes left on the street, but they were locked now...

Nothing lasts forever.

It sounds kind of like the stories about the guy in England from awhile back. I believe he was Polish (no offense to the fine people of Poland.) I remember some concern about cars and/or parts being taken out of the country.

I was thinking of the same guy. As I recall at least one forum member either lost a load of parts or an entire car - certainly was majorly out of pocket - and this is before prices went really stratospheric.

I was told he might be back and he might have been trying to sell some E9 parts here.

Due to his sickness (as he's told to be a drunkard), but none of "well-known" shops were interested in buying.

True or not - hard to tell.

Might be only some rumors.

Agree.

Why there are two pictures?
Why the second one has hidden registration?
On the picture below E9 is pasted into some background with artificial shadow being added.

I would even assume both cars are different - not the same E9.
