cadaver exposed
Charlie, on my other post I have attached pictures of the innerds of the headrests. I am on a different computer or I would post here and I'm not tech savvy enough to copy the shots over but I think I have what you are looking for. I don't know much, actually anything, about furniture construction but these things were pretty well made from what I can tell (1974). I tend to be a "no-forcee" person, but without using a little C4 there are very few options for moving those headrests once they are set in because the pins can rust in the groove and then it's like being welded. I had to hammer away at least 30 hard shots to remove these and I managed to keep most of the pieces intact.
I saved every piece that was removable except the actual frames so I have lots of pieces if anyone needs something specific. I dispatched the back panels with the chrome, the back adjusting knobs with trim, the plastic plugs, large slotted screws, lever surrounds and headrests but I have all the pot metal pieces, clips, chrome plates, rods and even the safety switches, etc. I have my seats being "repaired" from the polaris coupe so I'm going to hang on to the remainder of the pieces until they come back but after that I will post a picture of the pieces if anyone needs anything and we can play the "donation game".
For those of you that requested the parts they have all gone out except de Q as I'll get you a shipping quote tomorrow morning.
