We had an amazing day 2 on this year's Targa California drive. The highlight was definitely our track time at Laguna Seca! We had a good forty minutes which seemed much shorter, fortunately I had good friend Fred Larimer next to me coaching me on the proper lines in the corners. It's amazing how even sixty mph feels like ninety when negotiating the eleven turns and other cars are in front of and behind you. The corkscrew, turn 8, was everything I expected and then some. But turn 9 is such a large sweeping turn and so much faster that it gets your attention quickly and I think I had a death grip on the wheel the whole time. By the end I think I did fairly well on turns 3, 4, 5, 9 and 10, what a thrill but turn 2, the Andretti Hairpin is hard to master with two apexs. Fred shot a video with my iPhone, if I can figure out how to post I will add it.
