Thought I would start a new thread about my b35 build. The head got two new valves, all new guides and seals, slightly decked. I had the intake side clear ceramic coated to match the induction plumbing along with timing cover. Oh yes, the timing cover. I want to use the original distributor and stake it instead of using Motronic dizzy but stud hole in cover doesn't match the valve cover. I guess I knew this could be an issue. I also ceramic coated the oil pan, it looks beautiful, also did this to intake manifolds, runners, plenum, L-jet throttle body.
Still waiting for block to be finished. I bought all new gears, chains, tensioners, lightened flywheel, pressure plate (so it can be balanced with the crank), pilot bearing, etc. Using early e24 oil pan with large baffle and early oil pump so no modification is needed. The cost is climbing, this isn't going to be the slight refresh and drop it in like I though but the results will be outstanding. I am taking my time and don't want to impact some driving events so this will take longer than planned.
