Time to make a 2008 CS Calendar!

General update:

My best guess at the calendar format is that it will be printed on 11x8.5" letter paper and spiral bound. The front and back will be a heavy weight material and the inside pages will be decent photo grade material. When going to the printer I will be paying by the number of sides. The current side stack up plan (still being considered:

This makes a total of 32 sides. I may cut down a few depending on circumstances but this format gives me room to include nice shots and collages and get everyone represented regardless of voting.

I will accept submissions until midnight Dec 5 (not too picky) and on December 6 I will publish the voting procedure.

If everyone is represented, what are we voting for? Month representation,back or front cover...

In any event, this calendar should be trophy caliber...

Basically we have a cover and 12 months. We have 18 people submitting so far and over 90 photos. As such, we need to narrow the field to the "preferred" 12+1 photos. I plan to make sure that at least one photo from each submitter is included somewhere if not selected for a month. I also would prefer to see a different submitter for each month.

Don't ya just hate democracy - it's such a pain!
 
I received a bunch of photos overnight. PLEASE BESURE TO SUBMIT BEFORE MIDNIGHT TODAY IF YOU PLAN TOO. I will all submissions them into the gallery this evening if possible and any stragglers by tomorrow morning. Once they are all posted I will publis voting instructions.

I think there are now 100 photo up. I think I have about 20-30 more left to post + any coming in the next 20 hours or so. Quite a turn out!
 
If only a had a graphic artist at my disposal! Just guessing by the turnout in the last 24 hours I have about 150 photos to deal with! Despite the appearance in the photobucket galley (which I reduced to 1024pels) most photos are pretty high resolution! Let's hope I do justice to everyone's submissions!

Democracy is great if it works. Otherwise I will gladly settle for
a benevolent dictator. No quibbles with jh making any final
decisions in my opinion since he is going to all of this effort.
And we have the cover settled - Blumax.
 
Whew! We now have 139 pictures in the gallery with 24 people entering. I feel you all yall poor slobs who will have to look at all of them and vote - what a chore!

All pictures have prefix numbers like (12-2). This represents entry group 12, photo 2. This is how I am keeping track and this is going to be the key to voiting.

Blumax is in group 23-x; a solid group of 20 photos!

Anyway - only a few hours left! Stay tuned! 8)
