This CSi is scheduled to go live on Monday on BaT. Comments such as what a great color, I love this color or I’ve always liked this rare color would be great! Just don’t overdo it LOL. Thanks everyone. The hood has been adjusted since I took this photo in November

Turkis changes color from blue in the shade to green in the sun. It was a 1973 year only color for any of the BMW models. They had an all black or black with gray cloth interiors. The correct color can be made with Glasurit Metallic/clearcoat paint. Any photos of the color will not look the same as seeing it in person.

The first E9 I looked at (and seriously considered getting) was Turkis. It was up in Abbotsford, BC. That car later was on BaT - being offered by the fella that bought it after I looked at it.

That color is still one of my favorites....
 
I was excited to see this coupe pop up today on BaT. Chris representing = should do very well. I was surprised to see how nice it really is. Maybe "surprised" is the wrong word as one of our fearless leaders is repping it but more surprised at the condition. It is way better than expected. Gives me inspiration on mine when I see such a nicely done coupe. Thumbs up guys on BaT when you can and I'll be sure to chime in later. Popcorn time...good thing my wife just bought a mixed pack for charity, probably won't last the week when the real fireworks begin later.

This true car guy must have a large collection since he's selling the car after only driving it 300 miles. Let's hope the new owner joins the forum and does" keep it that way".
Note Turkis is spelled teurkis and turquois in the BaT description. The color has "the Flop",but the spelling doesn't.....
 
Looks so great and awesome to see such an immediate great response. One question, since I know it came up about another recent auction car - aren't the guibo bolts supposed to be alternating rather than being mounted in parallel to one another head to nut? Everytime I see an underside like this with every bolt and nut brand new I start thinking about my next time underneath the car and what I may need to do...

You are doing a great job answering questions on BAT. BAT requires thick skin, because there are many "know-it-all" people that like to comment.

At least, you are a very thorough and honest guy, some may even say likable, and the E9 Mafia is supporting you! :) ;)
