That coupe was in the BMW museum in 2009 when I picked up my 128i at the Welt. I asked the BMW delivery guy if he could get the VIN so I could add it to the Registry. Apparently the VIN is "private information". I saw the same car a few years later in the BMW hall at the IAA show in Frankfurt.

My fifth column...

..in BMW Munich, gave me the answer :

Turkis E9 in museum, is VIN /

2265237

..which gives us one of the first serie of E9 (factory code 3441).

When I was there I wanted to go ahead swap the wipers but I figured they'd arrest me and haul me off to zee cooler while my family was across the street at the aquarium.

you can see the color saturation difference that i was talking about comparing the museum car to Peder's car.
