Looking for a very good to excellent condition domed wood shift knob without a roundel. Thanks in advance.

These pop up on ebay germany if you haven’t already set up a search there yet, I just got one for a friend recently and I found an nos one there a few years ago.

Can they by done on a lathe? Plastic insert can be 3D printed (as many do today).

With such a scenario it the best option to select material or paint to fit the rest perfectly.

It could also be the cheapest and fastest in the end. :)

I have two of them... that need restoration.

They aren't a single piece of wood so you could perhaps do the base piece on a lathe but you'd still need to veneer the top per the originals...these were the correct shift knob for CSL's...

Or - going for high end piece - make it all from walnut, oak, auburn... ;-)

Hey Andrew, I know you are looking for an original, but a good option as others have mentioned is to have one made. I had a wood one made to look like the 2002 stock one and it turned out pretty nice. I used this guy that also makes wood knobs out of old skateboards: https://www.builtbybasil.com/

Good luck!
